South Carolina on one printed page: Columbia, Charleston and three other cities, all 46 county lines and the Savannah River border with Georgia.
What prints
South Carolina prints as a rough triangle. The long straight-ish side is the North Carolina border running from the mountains to the coast north of Myrtle Beach; the second side is the Savannah River border with Georgia, which curves from the Blue Ridge to the sea at Savannah; the third is the Atlantic coast with its sea islands. The 46 counties print as thin lines inside the outline, with the small Upstate counties around Greenville and Spartanburg in the top left corner and the larger Lowcountry counties like Charleston and Colleton along the coast. Columbia carries the capital star at the fall line in the centre of the state; the Major cities layer adds Charleston, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant and Greenville.
Page orientation
Landscape is the better fit. The state is about 260 miles from the northwest corner to the coast and about 200 miles along the coast, and its triangular shape has a wide base along the Georgia line. In landscape the coastal counties between Charleston and Myrtle Beach print large enough to distinguish, and there is room at the right for a key. Portrait is acceptable but leaves the top and bottom of the page empty.

The fall line, Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie, and the Santee and Pee Dee rivers are not on the plain print. County names are also left off, so the sheet can be used to label Richland (Columbia), Charleston and Greenville counties, to mark the three regions (Upstate, Midlands, Lowcountry), or to trace the Savannah River. Answers are on the county map; the blank South Carolina map is the empty outline.
