Printable Kentucky map
Kentucky on a single printed page: Frankfort marked as capital, Louisville and Lexington, and the 120 county borders packed between the Ohio River and the Tennessee line.
What prints
Kentucky has more counties than any state except Texas and Georgia, and the printed sheet shows all 120 of them, which gives the map a finely divided look, especially in the eastern coalfield counties, which are small and irregular. The northern edge is the Ohio River from the West Virginia line to the Mississippi at Cairo; the southern edge is the surveyed Tennessee line, which prints with a visible jog near the Tennessee River. Frankfort has the capital star on the Kentucky River between Louisville and Lexington. The Major cities layer adds Louisville on the Ohio, Lexington in the Bluegrass, Bowling Green in the south-central region, Owensboro on the Ohio in the west, and Covington across from Cincinnati. The far western tip, including the Jackson Purchase counties and the Kentucky Bend exclave on the Mississippi, also prints, although the Bend itself is tiny.
Page orientation
Kentucky is about 380 miles from the West Virginia border to the Mississippi and only about 140 miles at its widest north to south. Print in landscape. In landscape the state stretches across the width of the sheet and the small eastern counties get enough room to be told apart. In portrait, the western half becomes a narrow strip and Fulton County at the tip of the Purchase all but disappears. Keep the scale at 100 percent.

- The Ohio River border with Ohio, Indiana and Illinois, the Mississippi border with Missouri, the Big Sandy and Tug Fork border with West Virginia, and the surveyed lines with Virginia and Tennessee.
County names are not on the sheet. It works well for tracing the Ohio River and marking where the time zone changes, or for locating Jefferson County (Louisville) and Fayette County (Lexington). Answers are on the Kentucky county map. The blank Kentucky map leaves only the state outline.
